Chinese Junk Preservation is proud to have received recognition and support from leading historical and cultural organizations.
The Chinese Historical Society of America (CHSA) is the oldest and largest organization dedicated to the study, documentation, and dissemination of Chinese America history. CHSA provides invaluable support to Chinese Junk Preservation by serving as our fiscal sponsor, allowing us to accept tax-deductible donations.
National Trust for Historic Preservation is a private, nonprofit membership organization dedicated to protecting the irreplaceable. The organization works with the Trust’s 270,000 members and thousands of preservation groups in all 50 states to provide leadership, education, advocacy, and resources to save America's diverse historic places and revitalize communities. Chinese Junk Preservation is honored to be the recipient of a pledge from the Trust’s Thorne National Intervention Fund to help pay for the initial stabilization and preservation of the Free China junk.
San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and its partners seek to forge emotional and intellectual connections through preservation and interpretation of the resources and stories of America's maritime gateways, history, and culture, especially the development of the Pacific Coast. Chinese Junk Preservation is grateful for the long history of support from Park volunteers and staff.
